Duo Faun receive regular repeat bookings from concert series and recitals to special functions by private and corporate hosts. Duo Faun also engage in therapeutic live music in hospital, aged-care and palliative settings. Both members work as private teachers and freelancing orchestral musicians. Between them, they hold international competition awards and degrees from music conservatories across Europe and Australia. THE HEALING POWER OF MUSIC

Duo Faun are professional providers of live music in hospitals under the auspices of The Stairwell Project. We have a special commitment to continue this work, travelling between the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital and the Prince Charles Palliative Unit, various aged-care facilities and the Children's Hospice. We have been honoured to present intimate bed-side performances for particular patients in all these locations, as well as to provide a welcome, calming ambience in certain wards and public spaces. It means everything to know that both patients and their relations, as well as the health care professionals who serve them, are each supported by the healing presence of live music - often in profound and unexpected ways. We feel honoured that the health care sector increasingly wish to foster quality live music as a vital part of their services rolling forward. Music is powerful stuff. We love this work, and it is a path we strive to continue on.
